WEBINAR

HEREWEAR HUB

Thanks to our 80+ subscribers of the HEREWEAR HUB webinar on 17th September for their offline and online questions on how to: a) relocalise on smaller scales and reconnect social communities within Europe, b) continue transforming biomass waste and bring added value all along an agri-tex value chain, c) expand on experience and hands-on based learning to lower the threshold on sustainability education, d) use DPP and new policies as useful drivers for change, and e) stimulate accessible and efficient tools and guidelines. Take a tour!

COMMUNITY

CIRCULAR TEXTILE DAYS

4 ECOSYSTEX projects – HEREWEAR, TEXTENDED, SCIRT, PLASTICE – were presenting their outcomes at the Circular Textile Days (NL) and participated in the panel talk Harnessing EU research for industry impact. Industry and value chain actors present engaged the conversation with HEREWEAR partners on opportunities to develop bio-based, local and circular textiles and clothing. For example on such challenges as the impact of design on recyclability, methods of mitigating microfibre release, alternatives to the viscose process, and microfactories or networked manufacturing as alternatives to the global production model. More outcomes will be discussed during the Ecosystex Conference on the 16th of October.
