This report D1.3 is an integral part of the first working document (WP1) of the WINTEX project. The list prepared by CEDECS-TCL is made up of best practices and notable successes resulting from ongoing or completed European projects.
Our first game of good practice and notorious success is about a project that has fundamentally transformed our company, the H2020 TCBL project. Indeed, in terms of notable success, we can present the various testimonials and results of TCBL Labs which echo the priority objective of WINTEX: to set up three innovation centers within three Tunisian universities. By using up-to-date information on the status of TCBL Labs and the set of principles they use will be beneficial to the organization of the structure of Tunisian centers, their policy, their funding and their way of building sustainable relations between Institutes of Higher Education (IST) and the private sector.
TCBL's good practices to be exploited in order to increase innovation and entrepreneurship as the ambition of WINTEX are available in the numerous results and documents produced by TCBL. This information produced during TCBL will notably help the Tunisian centers in the design of their service and operation offer, but they will also help in the establishment of another objective of WINTEX, namely the creation of the Council of the Academy and Textile Industry in Tunisia.
Sets of good practices number 3 and 4 on our list come from the European TextMEDin and CreativeMED projects for which CEDECS S.A.R.L (the ancestor of CEDECS-TCBL SAS) was a key contributor. The experience acquired and the documents produced during these two projects which studied how cultural heritage can be a lever of attractiveness, creativity and innovation for companies in the textile and clothing sector will help Tunisian centers to develop a unique to the private sector and will explore ways of integrating local actors into their network. TextMEDin's results identified the parameters of local networks to attract young students to textile and clothing activities by helping them to find a first work experience in the textile industry through their university network. The so-called triple loop methodological approach, the documents as well as the CreativeMED toolkit could be transposed to Tunisian centers to develop a unique value proposition.
The set of good practices listed in fifth position on our list stems from a project where 11 Hubs were created all around the Mediterranean Sea: CreativeWear. This project has built an ecosystem in which cooperation between artists, IESs and companies generates new innovative products with high added value. Practical cases involving universities are interesting for the Tunisian partners of WINTEX.
The sixth set of good practices on our list comes from the CLEVERTEXT project which proposes a master plan and a framework for future actions to be carried out in the field of intelligent multi-functional textile materials in Europe, whether at the level of research, education or technology transfer. The Delphi method used to detect key development axes in the textile sector can be replicated at the level of the first stages of the WINTEX project.
In addition, the seventh set of good practices consists of documents and tools produced by the PASSAGE project. This project focused on the means of transmitting, preserving and promoting know-how within the textile and clothing sector. PASSAGE documents the future needs and techniques required in order to estimate the education and training needs of the workforce, in particular to prepare for the advent of new technologies while preserving the know-how of the departing generations. retirement. Course documents, methodologies and other tools can be used by WINTEX and can greatly contribute to the theme of the development of innovation and entrepreneurship by IESs.
Additionally, another CEDECS-TCBL proposal focuses on ways to use traditional craftsmanship as inspiration for tailor-made clothing. This project has a complete course program, advice and methods, in particular at the level of risk management within the textile and clothing industry, which perfectly complements the PASSAGE project, it is about the results here. of the WEBTEXPERT project.
NETKITE, a project that has contributed to the creation of a collaborative network between universities and private sector companies to help students turn their ideas into start-ups / spin-offs through the implementation of new policies and a coaching perfectly illustrates one of the axes that the WINTEX project wishes to address, so it is our ninth proposal.
On the other hand, The Next Society project proposes a roadmap for the implementation of an ecosystem focusing on the evolution of the legal framework, encouraging the emergence of start-ups, aiming to promote and internationalize poles of competitiveness and accelerate technology transfers to businesses. This project is the only one on the list that is not linked to the work of CEDECS-TCBL, nevertheless it is an ongoing European project full of promises which is oriented towards improving relations between IESs and the private sector. all forms of industry, which can be complementary to WINTEX which specializes in the textile industry.
Finally, as a final recommendation, CEDECS-TCBL advocates the exploration of long-term trends affecting the creative industries through the results of the PROSUMER.NET project.
In conclusion, CEDEC-TCBL proposed a large panel of European projects including a set of good practices which laid the foundations for a project like WINTEX, according to each of these projects can be the source of the practical cases that will be selected. and studied within the framework of WINTEX.
